Artist talk – Scarborough
I going to have an Artist talk in Scarborough in Yorkshire, England. Friday 18 March 2016, 1 pm. From ArtUnpackeds webpage: Join us this Friday lunchtime for a talk from Textil/Juvel artist Jessica Johannesson. Jessica will talk about her intricately knotted sculptural work, explaining the process and the ideas behind her work. We will also be joined by Katarina Karlsson, co-curator of the exhibition. I taking part in the exhibition “Close the door or all the darkness will leak out” at Galleri Box in Gothenburg. 20/11 – 20/12 2015. “But I know what darkness is, it accumulates, thickens, then suddenly bursts and drowns everything.” – Samuel Beckett. During the work with Box Open-Call 2015 an interesting purely aesthetic but also thematic interpretation of darkness both as symbol and as concrete matter was discovered. Artist talk – Settle, Yorkshire
Jag har ett ”Artist talk” den 16 oktober på ”The Folly” i Settle, Yorkshire, England. Detta i samband med att min medverkan i den turnerande utställningen ”Textil/Juvel: Contemporary Craft from West Sweden” som visas på ”The Folly” fram till 1 november 2015.
IASPIS/Konstnärsnämnden – LONDON
Nu är jag på plats i London! De första dagarna har gått till att komma på plats i lägenheten och försöka lokalisera mig i området och staden. Om några dagar får jag tillgång till min ateljé hos Cubitt. Som jag tidigare nämnt så har jag tilldelats IASPIS/Konstnärsnämndens ateljéstipendie i London, England. Under ett år, 15 september 2015 till 30 augusti 2016, ska jag bo och arbeta i London.
